“Origin” è un lavoro che indaga l’esistenza umana, vista come introspezione e riflessione sulla propria identità. Ricercare le proprie origini fa accedere la coscienza ad un mondo interiore che si propaga nel sottosuolo, come le radici fanno nel terreno.
Lo specchio permette di immergerci nella natura, mettendoci in relazione con essa e al contempo con noi stessi. Nell’azione performativa emergono diversi aspetti della realtà umana: la nascita e lo sviluppo, il confronto diretto con la propria identità, il prolungamento del corpo che sprofonda nel terreno attraverso la riflessione nello specchio e la totale integrazione con l’ambiente naturale circostante.
L’uomo, alla fine di questo processo, vede trasformarsi in albero ed ergersi fra terra e cielo come gli altri alberi riflessi nello specchio: radici e rami insieme.

“Origin” is a work that investigates human existence, seen as introspection and reflection on one’s identity. Searching for one’s origins allows the consciousness to access an inner world that propagates underground, as roots do in the soil.
The mirror allows us to immerse ourselves in nature, putting us in relationship with it and at the same time with ourselves. In the performative action, different aspects of human reality emerge: birth and development, direct confrontation with one’s identity, the extension of the body that sinks into the ground through reflection in the mirror and total integration with the surrounding natural environment.
At the end of this process, man sees himself transformed into a tree and standing between earth and sky like the other trees reflected in the mirror: roots and branches together.
